  • Performance Reporting, including global server performance, wait stats analysis, disk and database space, custom counter history, counter date range comparison reports, and more.
  • Automatic Disk Misalignment detection.
  • NTFS Mount Point support.
General
  • SQL Sentry Server service threading optimizations to reduce memory footprint, and minimize possibility of collection delays affecting chaining, alerting, etc.
  • Reduced plan cache footprint for the SQL Sentry repository database.

"Why I need to go on the SQLCruise" Contest Results

SQL Sentry is pleased to announce our sponsorship of the inaugural SQLCruise. This is a unique training concept developed by two respected SQL Server MVPs: Brent Ozar and Tim Ford. Attendees will spend four days aboard the Carnival Cruise Ship Imagination as it sails from Miami to Cozumel receiving in-depth SQL Server training.

In addition to our sponsorship, we held a contest offering the winner a free cabin for two, plus one training registration on the SQLCruise. The winner was to be selected from submissions explaining "Why I need to go on the SQLCruise." The submissions were shared via the entrant’s favorite social media outlet such as Twitter, YouTube, FaceBook, Flicker or online Blog post. The contest was an overwhelming success receiving so many high quality submissions that a single winner could not be determined. After extended deliberations, SQL Sentry announced that four winners had been selected.

Read behind the scenes details about the SQLCruise contest decision on Greg’s Blog.

There is still time to sign up for this training opportunity by registering at www.sqlcruise.com.
